The 6.3L engine of previous generations was upgraded for a low compression 7.2L version, also from Chrysler, and was the most powerful engine Jensen had specified up to that point.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ffffff;\">In order to increase the reliability a conversion to fuel injection was requested and our lead engineer Frank set about designing a solution that looked period correct, but delivered fuel in a manner far superior to the previous carbureted setup. We re-used the existing Edelbrock carburetor manifold, allowing for the throttle actuator and butterfly setup to bolt on. High energy smart coils were also installed. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.llamaengineering.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/jensen_6-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-color: initial;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.llamaengineering.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/jensen_5-300x261.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"261\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-color: initial;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.llamaengineering.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/jensen_8-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #ffffff;\">The factory air cleaner was also to be re-attached to hide everything, with a requirement that only a minimal gain in height be introduced with the new system.
